I’m always impressed with students’ artistic creativity. When I collected the Chapters 7 – 9 Mindmaps, I was very impressed with how students drew these concepts. I struggle with drawing but can appreciate quality art.
In class, we did one of my favorite lessons on “Old” immigration and nativism. After completing the PowerPoint, we analyzed a political cartoon on “Old” immigration and then answered multiple-choice questions based on the document. We had a few minutes left at the end of class, so I had students complete 4 questions from period 2 from an old AP exam.
