I’ve spent the past 20 years teaching high school social studies, with the last 16 years dedicated specifically to AP U.S. History. During that time, I’ve worked with students of all backgrounds and ability levels, helping them build strong historical thinking skills, confidence, and a deeper understanding of the American past. In addition to my classroom experience, I’ve been tutoring students individually for over 10 years, providing personalized support tailored to each student’s needs, goals, and learning style.
My work has been recognized at both the local and state level. I’ve been named a Top-Ten Semifinalist for New York State Teacher of the Year, selected as a Business First Top 25 Teacher of Merit in Western New York, and honored as the first recipient of the Empire Teacher of Excellence Award in New York State, presented in person by then-Governor Andrew Cuomo. I’ve also been fortunate to receive multiple awards within my high school community—recognition that reflects not only my own efforts, but the hard work and dedication of my students.

Outside the classroom, I’ve been creating AP U.S. History instructional content on YouTube since 2012. As one of the earliest teachers producing APUSH-specific videos, my goal has always been to make complex historical topics more understandable, engaging, and accessible for students everywhere.
Through tutoring, I work one-on-one with students to strengthen content knowledge, refine writing skills, master AP exam strategies, and build confidence heading into tests and coursework. Whether a student needs ongoing support throughout the year or targeted help before an exam, I enjoy meeting learners where they are and helping them move forward with clarity and purpose.
